21.10.2021

Until 12 November, public employment services can submit applications for implementing pilot projects addressed, inter alia, to women returning to the labour market after giving birth to a child or young people who are neither in employment nor in education. For the “Stable job – strong family” project, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy will allocate PLN 57 million.

The call for applications will start on 21 October and will last until 12 November. The project is addressed to public employment services – inter alia, voivodeship and district labour offices wishing to implement new methods or ways of helping the unemployed, job seekers or employers in order to prepare systemic solutions.

In implementing the projects, the offices will be able to cooperate, inter alia, with Voluntary Labour Corps, employment agencies, trade unions or organisations representing the interests of employers.

The labour market is subject to changes, not only those related to the coronavirus pandemic, but also to the demographic situation of Poland. It is our responsibility to search for solutions that will make the labour market even more family-friendly, bring people who have been economically inactive so far back to the market, or give employers new, flexible tools to hire employees. We are launching a pilot project so as to find the best solutions for the further development of the labour market in Poland – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

As part of the announced call, specially rewarded will be pilot projects containing solutions addressed to:

  • persons excluded from the labour market due to taking care of children/dependent persons and seniors, in particular, parents returning to or entering the labour market,
  • women returning to the labour market after giving birth to a child, maternity or parental leave, a period of economic inactivity related to raising children,
  • young people below 30, from the NEET group (i.e. not in employment, education or training),
  • and project containing solutions supporting employers in hiring employees in the form of remote work, living in areas at risk of permanent marginalisation or in medium-sized cities losing their socio-economic functions.

For implementing the pilot projects under the “Stable job – strong family” project, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy will allocate PLN 57 million only this year. The funds will come from the Labour Fund’s reserve. The selected projects will have to be completed by the end of 2023.
