The eContract system even more functional The Council of Ministers has adopted our draft
24.02.2026
Extended availability of the system to all employers, a broader catalogue of contracts, facilitation for companies employing foreigners, as well as added support for contracts concluded outside the system - these are just some of the changes proposed in the draft amendment to the eContract Law. On 24 February 2026, the Council of Ministers adopted the draft.
The new ICT system for contracts was launched on 7 January 2026. It enables the conclusion, amendment and termination of contracts such as employment contracts, mandate contracts, service contracts and activation contracts, e.g. with a nanny. It allows the use of ready-made templates for contracts and related documents - e.g. annexes, termination notices, employment certificates.
Importantly, the system makes it possible for employee records to be kept and stored electronically without the obligation to keep them on paper. It also provides continuous access to electronic documents and the ability to report employees and contractors for insurance and taxation with the Social Insurance Institution and the National Tax Administration - all in one place.
We are constantly working on the development of the system, so we have prepared a draft to extend its functionalities.
The eContract system with new functionalities
On 24 February 2026, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft prepared at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy.
What is going to change? All employers (currently only up to nine employees) will be able to use the system. It will be possible to conclude other types of contracts, e.g. non-competition, training, joint material liability, volunteering contracts (currently only employment, mandate, activation contracts). The possibility of managing contracts concluded outside the system is also to be added.
In addition, included are:
- Facilitation of the settlement of public-law liabilities for contracts concluded using the system - streamlining the transfer of settlements and documents to the Social Security Institution.
- Facilitation for companies employing foreigners - automatic transfer of a copy of the concluded contract to the entity that issued the work permit.
- The use of the system will continue to be voluntary and free of charge - the employee will be able to require the conclusion of a contract in the traditional form.
The new features are scheduled to be launched in 2029.

The new system is a step towards simpler and more transparent contracting - so that everyone can get it done quickly and without unnecessary paperwork.
The system was launched under the 16 November 2022 Act and is available to users free of charge.
