On 13 May 2026, the 11th meeting of the Council for Women in the Labour Market was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy.
The Minister for Labour, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, summarised the Council’s work over the past two years, thanking its members for their commitment to date.
The Council examined the issue of the gender pay gap, amongst other things. This led to the drafting of recommendations, which were reflected in the Ministry’s efforts to promote greater pay transparency, implement EU legislation on equal pay, and increase the representation of women on company boards, Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk emphasised.
As she pointed out, the draft legislation implementing the Pay Transparency Directive (the Equality Directive) has been referred back for further consultation, review and public consultation.
Psychological safety at work
The 11th meeting of the Council for Women in the Labour Market focused on psychological safety at work.
Rapid technological progress, the AI revolution and demographic changes mean that today’s labour market is placing even greater demands on everyone – both employers and employees. In this context, creating a working environment based on mutual respect, trust and open communication becomes even more important, Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk emphasised.
The Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy noted that, at the end of March, the Sejm held the first reading of a bill amending the definition of workplace bullying and introducing greater protection against undesirable behaviour in the workplace.
