We got it! President signs an anti-crisis shield

That is already sure – President Andrzej Duda signed acts consisting of a package of solutions for entrepreneurs and employees in connection with the approaching economic crisis brought on by the coronavirus epidemic. ‘This is very good news – I am convinced that these solutions will effectively reduce the negative consequences of the crisis,’ says the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

The anti-crisis shield is a set of acts prepared, e.g., by the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and the Ministry of Finance. On the one hand, they enlarge some of the existing solutions; on the other hand, they introduce entirely new mechanisms of support for employees and entrepreneurs.

The anti-crisis shield consists of five pillars: security of employees, financing of enterprises, healthcare, strengthening the financial system and a public investment programme.

The total estimated value of the package is at least 10% of GDP.
