As a part of the Program Contract for the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, a package of important projects for the development of the region and, above all, for improving the quality of life of its residents has been agreed upon,

says Deputy Minister Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

The Program Contract is a document that details the size and spending of the EU money provided for each of the 16 regions under the 2021-2027 cohesion policy. This is a kind of agreement between the government and the voivodeship’s Marshal, in which specific investments that are important for the voivodeship and Poland as a whole are indicated.

In Podkarpackie, the greatest emphasis will be placed on supporting the areas of health, innovation, education, low-carbon economy and combating climate change. The money available to the region in the new financial perspective will also be used for activities related to social inclusion, increasing transportation accessibility and supporting areas of strategic intervention in the voivodeship,

the Deputy Minister added.

The signing of the agreed Program Contract forms the basis for EFP negotiations with the European Commission. Once the agreed document is approved by Brussels, it will be possible to allocate money to individual activities and launch competitions.

The Podkarpackie region will also be able to use funds from the Eastern Poland program, as well as from the Reconstruction Fund and national programs.

The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, coordinating regional policy, cooperates with all local governments. The Program Contract is a practical expression of this cooperation.
