More than EUR 1.4 billion for the regional program from the cohesion policy for 2021-2027 will be received by the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Waldemar Buda and representatives of the Marshal's Office - Marshal Andrzej Bętkowski and Deputy Marshal Renata Janik - signed the Program Contract. It is an agreement that will form the basis for negotiations with the European Commission on the "European Funds for Świętokrzyskie for 2021-2027.”
The Program Contract is a document that details the size and spending of the EU money provided for each of the 16 regions under the 2021-2027 cohesion policy.
The money available to Świętokrzyskie in the new financial perspective will be used to make important investments in innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalization, infrastructure, environmental protection, energy, education and social affairs – Deputy Minister Waldemar Buda said and added:
The greatest emphasis will be placed on support for entrepreneurship and R&D, the low-carbon economy and on the fight against climate changes, as well as on support for activities related to social inclusion.
The Deputy Minister explained that within the framework of the Program Contract for the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, a package of priority projects has been agreed that will contribute to the development of the region and improve the quality of life of its residents.
With the support of European Funds, there will be computerization of medical facilities. Comprehensive out-patient oncology specialty care will be subsidized. Local support systems for seniors will be created
Waldemar Buda mentioned.
The voivodeship’s board plans to allocate a significant portion of the money to road projects resulting from the Regional Transport Plan for the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
The signing of the agreed document means that it can now be negotiated with the European Commission. Once the agreed document is approved by Brussels, it will be possible to allocate money to individual activities and launch competitions.
