Nearly EUR 1.5 billion for Świętokrzyskie in the new financial perspective

The Świętokrzyskie voivodeship will receive EUR 1,456 million in total under the new regional programme. Of this, more than EUR 1 billion from the European Regional Development Fund and more than EUR 400 million from the European Social Fund Plus. Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak participated in the conference inaugurating the European Funds for Świętokrzyskie 2021-2027 Programme.
‘The cross-sectoral scope and variety of projects to be implemented with the help of EU money in the next few years shows how important the new regional programme will be in supporting the entire Świętokrzyskie region. There is no doubt that these resources will contribute to further dynamic socioeconomic development of this region of Poland. They will also continue those projects that we have already managed to implement with EU funds in the financial perspective for the years 2014-2020’,
Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak said at the event inaugurating the European Funds for Świętokrzyskie 2021-2027 Programme. The event was also attended by experts, entrepreneurs and local government representatives from the region.
‘I believe that resources from this programme will also be of invaluable help in the recovery from the pandemic crisis and in offsetting the negative effects of the war which is taking place across our eastern border’,
Deputy Minister added.
Resources from the Regional Programme European Funds for Świętokrzyskie 2021-2027 will finance projects in areas such as:
- Scientific research and the implementation of its results in the economy,
- Development of enterprises and services for entrepreneurs,
- Development of digital solutions and services benefitting residents,
- Protection of environmental resources and counteracting climate changes,
- increasing energy efficiency in businesses and in residential and public buildings,
- Using renewable energy sources,
- Development of urban transport and expansion of road infrastructure,
- development of social and health infrastructure,
- Social and professional inclusion of residents of the region,
- Education and improvement of professional qualifications of residents of the region,
- Regeneration of degraded areas,
- Supporting tourism and culture in the region.
Additionally, the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship will be able to count on the support worth more than EUR 400 million under the European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021-2027 Programme.
Strategic objectives of the programme for the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship
The Programme Contract for the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship was signed on 1 February 2022. It is an important part of the cohesion policy implementation that responds to the needs identified in the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship. Measures planned under it are also compliant with the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Development Strategy 2030+.
Key goals of the Programme:
- strengthening potentials and eliminating disadvantages in the regional economy,
- mitigating negative phenomena related to environmental pollution and climate change, combating the effects of natural hazards,
- Rational and pro-growth space management, in particular, in sparsely urbanised areas,
- Improving the living standard, improving and development technical and social infrastructure.
