23.12.2025
We are proceeding according to the plan. The Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, signed the 6th and 7th request for payment under the National Recovery Plan. This will add PLN 29 billion to the Polish economy next year.
We have already submitted a total of seven of the nine planned requests for payment to the European Commission. We intend to send the last two requests in April and September 2026, and it will be a record year in terms of the number and scale of investment implemented across Poland under the NRP. A total of more than PLN 110 billion will flow into Poland next year.
The sixth and seventh payment request from the NRP which amount to the total of PLN 29 billion, contain 43 indicators. These include the implementation of reforms and investments in areas such as clean and secure energy, digitalisation, infrastructure, green transport or health protection and agriculture. This money will be invested in, among others:
• railway construction and modernisation;
• passenger rolling stock;
• purchase of ecological buses;
• thermal modernisation of schools and kindergartens;
• increasing access to very fast internet where it is unavailable;
• digitalisation of medical services;
• modernisation of hospitals and retrofitting medical universities with research equipment;
• development of transmission networks, electricity infrastructure and hydrogen technologies.
To date, we have already signed 938 thousand agreements under the NRP for more than PLN 168 billion, which accounts for 70 per cent of the total allocation foreseen for our country. Almost PLN 100 billion has already been transferred to Poland for the implementation of many investment projects from five requests for payment submitted so far.
