The European Commission today issued a positive opinion on the revised Polish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NIP). It contains the additional EUR 23 billion in loans that Poland requested on 31 March and the additional EUR 2.76 billion in REPowerEU subsidies programmed in the revised NRP sent to the EC on August 31. The advances that Poland will soon receive amount to 20 per cent of this sum, or more than EUR 5 billion.

The disbursement of these funds is primarily the result of many months of work and very effective action by officials of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy

– underlines the Minister for Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda.

Following the revision, the NRP budget will increase to EUR 59.82 billion (PLN 261.4 billion), including EUR 25.28 billion (PLN 110.4 billion) in grants and EUR 34.5 billion (PLN 151 billion) in preferential loans. The payment of more than EUR 5 billion in advances does not depend on Poland meeting any milestones.
