Concert of the Orchestra of the Polish National Opera in Herodion

On Sunday, September 24, the Orchestra of the National Opera in Warsaw will perform in the Herod Atticus amphitheater - Herodion, with a program including works by W. A. Mozart, Piano Concerto in D minor No. 20, KV 466, and Requiem in D minor, KV 626.

Orchestra of the Polish National Opera

The renowned Polish orchestra will once again play in Athens under the baton of Patrick Fournillier, music director of the Warsaw National Opera. The orchestra has made a number of foreign tours with opera and ballet performances, as well as symphony concerts, visiting, among others: Berlin, Bonn, Bregenz, Brussels, Bucharest, Lisbon, Luxembourg, Madrid, Monte Carlo, Moscow, Paris, Sofia, Tel-Aviv, as well as several cities in Japan. The orchestra took part in music festivals, including: in Xanten, Carcassonne, Thessaloniki and Mai Festwoche in Wiesbaden., also performed many times with symphonic and oratorio music concerts, playing works by composers such as Mozart, Rossini, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms or Mahler.

The Polish orchestra will be accompanied by Greek soloists: Tatiana Papageorgiou - piano, Elena Kelesidi - soprano, Nefeli Kotseli - mezzo-soprano, Giannis Kalyvas - tenor, Petros Magoulas - baritone, the ERT Greek Radio and Television Choir and the City of Athens Choir.

The concert is held under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens.

Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.
