Commitment at the IGF 2021

How are the Internet and digital technologies supporting the COVID-19 recovery? What are the challenges facing business and the labour market with regards to the dissemination of new technologies? Which circumstances support digital development and the creation of modern management models? What is the future of human beings, especially of young people, surrounded by new technologies? You will learn all of this at this year's Internet Governance Forum - IGF 2021, which we are organizing jointly with the United Nations. This event will take place from 6 to 10 December in Katowice. You too can join the team that organizes this important event!

We are looking for volunteers for remote technical and organizational maintenance support of the so-called virtual rooms. What will be their tasks? Remote monitoring of the smooth, technical course of the session in separate virtual rooms.

Volunteers will receive a unique opportunity to learn about the organization of a prestigious, international event and participate in online training in the field of virtual maintenance of workshop rooms, as well as a Certificate of Recognition from the United Nations and a certificate from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister confirming their commitment.

Who are we looking for? A person passionate about the Internet.
If:

  • you know English enough to communicate freely in it,
  • you easily establish contacts,
  • you have organizational skills,
  • you are punctual,
  • you have access to a computer and to a stable Internet connection and desirably have some experience with online meeting platforms,

then you are the one we are looking for!

If you are not sure, whether you will find a moment for this commitment – check the event calendar, if you have time:

UN IGF 2021

The IGF 2021 will be the place for international debate. Several thousand people from all over the world will discuss the opportunities and challenges posed by the Internet, as well as ways on how to fully use its potential. It is in Katowice that global topics and best practices related to the digital space will be discussed.

The overarching theme of this year's IGF is Internet United.

We want the IGF 2021 to be an important event for young people from all over the world, who to a large extent create the global Internet environment. Therefore, one of the accompanying events of IGF 2021 will be the IGF Youth Summit (IGF Youth).

It is worth remembering that the UN IGF 2021 does not end on 10 December. On 10-12 December, the so-called IGF After Party – a weekend full of innovative discussions and interesting activities for young programmers from around the world is going to take place.
See you in Katowice! We hope this will be an opportunity for extremely interesting discussions and good decisions. We are waiting for you!
