05.03.2026
On 5 March the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi hosted the 4th edition of the Shantipath Debates, a roundtable discussion dedicated to the EU-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the future of the Poland-India Strategic Partnership.
The debate focused on how Poland can help unlock the full potential of EU–India cooperation and contribute to the effective implementation of the FTA. Particular attention was given to opportunities created by the Strategic Partnership between Poland and India established in August 2024, which strengthens political dialogue and expands economic, technological and strategic cooperation.
Welcome remarks were delivered by Head of Mission Dr. Piotr Antoni Świtalski. Opening remarks were given by Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Michał Baranowski.
The Shantipath Debates continue to serve as an important forum for dialogue between Poland and India, fostering greater mutual understanding and supporting the development of forward-looking initiatives in bilateral and European cooperation with India.
