Conferment of the "Bene Merito” Medal to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bengaluru

On November 18, a ceremony was held in Bengaluru to confer the "Bene Merito” medal to Raghu Rajappa, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland. The decoration recognizes his contribution to promoting Poland in India and fostering bilateral relations.

A special ceremony was held in Bengaluru to confer the “Bene Merito” medal to Mr. Raghu Rajappa, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bengaluru. On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the award was presented by the Head of  mission, Dr. Piotr A. Świtalski, during a ceremony held at the Taj West End Hotel. The “Bene Merito” Medal is awarded for outstanding contributions to the promotion of Poland abroad and activities that strengthen our country’s position on the international stage. The honor bestowed upon Mr. Raghu Rajappa is a recognition of his long-standing commitment to building friendly Polish-Indian relations and supporting the activities of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, particularly in the state of Karnataka.

Mr. Raghu Rajappa, serving as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bengaluru, has for years actively supported Poland’s presence in southern India, helping to develop economic, institutional, and social ties. As emphasized during the ceremony, he remains an important partner of the Embassy in initiatives carried out in Karnataka. The evening reception in the gardens of the Taj West End Hotel brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, the business community, and invited guests, including Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs Rafał Rosiński.
