Exhibition "Ambassadors of Polish Photography” in Mumbai

The Prestigious exhibition halls National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai hosted the exhibition “Ambassadors of Polish Photography,” organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai and the Polish American Photographic Club of New York in cooperation with the Association of Polish Art Photographers. The exhibition was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of India.
The exhibition presents 178 works by 44 renowned and acclaimed Polish photographers living and working in Poland and the US. Among them are Ryszard Horowitz, Tomek Sikora, Adam Tuchliński, Eva Rubinstein, Tadeusz Rolke, Chris Niedenthal, Piotr Jaxa, Tamara Pieńko, Krzysztof Opaliński, Tomasz Grzyb, Wojciech Kubik, Janusz Skowron, Dariusz Kanarek, and Tomasz Wielgomas.
The National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai is one of the most prestigious galleries in India. The historic gallery building is part of a complex listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The exhibition opening was attended by over 100 guests including representatives of local authorities, creative and business communities and a large group of art lovers. The diplomatic corps was represented by, the Consuls General of Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, Israel, Panama, and Sri Lanka. Speeches were given by the Director of the Gallery, Nidhi Choudhari, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai, Tomasz Wielgomas, the President of the Polish American Photographic Club and curator chief of the exhibition, Dariusz Kanarek, and well-known journalist Vinod Advani.
The exhibition will be available to the public until November 2.
