It was the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years, which made a part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and India. The main objective of the visit was to raise Polish-Indian relations to the level of a Strategic Partnership.

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland has noted a significant increase in fraudulent emails and letters sent to applicants.
