Visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski to New Delhi

Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, paid a visit to New Delhi from 5-7 February.

During his stay, Minister Bartoszewski held a series of meetings and engagements aimed at strengthening the partnership between Poland and India. He met with Secretary (West) Sibi George to review the progress of the Poland–India Joint Action Plan and to discuss future prospects for enhancing political dialogue, as well as economic and defence cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Bartoszewski also participated as a speaker at the inaugural Ananta EU-India Forum, taking part in a panel discussion on defence cooperation and the evolving nature of modern warfare. On the margins of the event, he held conversations with India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Greece’s Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias, among other participants.

During the visit, Minister Bartoszewski also gave several television and press interviews, focusing on new opportunities for Poland–India economic cooperation in light of the recently announced negotiations on the EU–India Free Trade Agreement.
