Fees

For issuing certificates by traditional means

The following fees are charged for obtaining information from the National Criminal Register:

  • PLN 30 – for information about a person;
  • PLN 30 – for information about a collective entity.

 


The fee must be paid in one of the following ways:

  1. To the bank account of the Ministry of Justice;
  2. In the form of court fee stamps (E-stamp);
  3. In cash at the cash desk of the Ministry of Justice;
  4. At the courthouse cash desk.

Remember!

  • The title of the transfer should indicate the name and surname of the person or entity to which the information from the National Criminal Register pertains and the date indicated in the request or inquiry as the issue date.

Ad. 2. In the form of court fee stamps

E-stamps are generated via the e-Płatności system. They can be self-printed or presented to be cancelled on mobile devices.

E-stamps are available for purchase:

  • on the website of the e-Płatności system (e-Płatności portal), at https://oplaty.ms.gov.pl;
  • at courthouse cash desks (printout on self-adhesive labels).

The e-Płatności portal (https://oplaty.ms.gov.pl), in addition to providing the possibility of purchasing electronic court fee stamps, allows for direct purchase of E-stamps using instant online transfers (pay-by-link) and credit cards.

 

If you have purchased an E-stamp, remember!

  • To attach a court fee stamp to your inquiry form when you apply for a certificate by traditional mail.
  • To allow for presentation of an E-stamp on a mobile device when applying for a certificate in person.

e-KRK
  • The fee for providing information about a natural person and a collective entity amounts to PLN 20.
  • Payments are made exclusively via DotPay, an electronic payment system provided by the e-KRK website.
  • Payments made outside the DotPay system will prevent you from obtaining a certificate by electronic means.
For issuing a multilingual standard form

For issuing a multilingual standard form, a fee of PLN 17 is charged.

 


The fee must be paid in one of the following ways:

  1. To the bank account of the Ministry of Justice;
  2. In the form of court fee stamps (E-stamp);
  3. In cash at the cash desk of the Ministry of Justice;
  4. In cash at the courthouse cash desk.

Payments for obtaining the form by electronic means via the e-KRK website should be made only through the payment mechanisms available via the e-platform.

Fee for a power of attorney

For the filing of an instrument of a power of attorney, a stamp duty of PLN 17 is charged. The payment should be made to the bank account of the city/municipality/district office with territorial jurisdiction over the authority to which the power of attorney is submitted. If the documents are forwarded directly to the National Criminal Register Bureau at ul. Czerniakowska 100, the fee should be paid into the following account:

Remember!

  • Proof of payment should be attached to the power of attorney (legal basis: Stamp Duty Act of 16 November 2006).
  • Granting a power of attorney to an immediate family member, i.e., a spouse, ascendant, descendant or sibling, is exempt from stamp duty. 
  • The power of attorney must be accompanied by fee payment.
Fee reimbursement

The fee is reimbursable:

  • If the person submitting an inquiry for information about a person/inquiry for information about a collective entity decides not to obtain information from the National Criminal Register before it is issued;
  • In the event of an excessive amount being paid.

In order to obtain a reimbursement of the fee paid, you should fill out a “request for fee reimbursement” and send it by mail to the address of the Information Bureau of the National Criminal Register, ul. Czerniakowska 100, 00-454 Warsaw, or via email to b-krk@ms.gov.pl.

 


Remember!

  • Court fee stamps (E-stamps) are not reimbursable if not used (payment has not been collected).
  • The fee reimbursement takes place within 3 months.
  • When requesting reimbursement of the fee paid for obtaining a certificate, remember:
    1. to give the reason for requesting reimbursement of the fee paid;
    2. to give the bank account number to which the fee is to be reimbursed;
    3. to give your contact phone number.
