On May 6, a reception to mark 3 May Constitution Day was held at the Casino Maltese in Valletta, with the President of the Republic of Malta, Miriam Spiteri Debono, as the guest of honour.

Konstytucja

Speeches highlighted the contribution of the 3 May Constitution to the separation of legislative powers and its historical significance as an example for future legal acts in Europe.

The 55th anniversary of the signing of diplomatic relations in 2026 and the 22nd anniversary of Poland and Malta's accession to the EU were other issues highlighted by both the Presidentof the Republic of Malta Miriam Spiteri Debono and Chargé d'Affaires a.i., Mr. Jarosław Mikuś. The development of mutual relations over this period and the current contribution to strengthening Poland's and Malta's position in EU forums were particularly highlighted.

Another important topic raised during the speeches was the growing presence of Polish tourists in Malta, who ranked third in 2025 with over 386,000 visitors. They make a significant contribution not only to the development of the tourism industry but also to the understanding of history.

The reception was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, Maltese business, and the Polish community living in Malta.

The reception concluded with a four-hand piano concert performed by Natalia Zaleska and Jarosław Bednarski. The performance included works by Leopold Godowski and Fryderyk Chopin.
