Małgorzata Kopeć, Chargée d’affaires ad interim of the Republik of Poland to the Republic of Malta
A graduate of the Leon Koźmiński Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw.
She began her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in 1994 and has since accumulated over 30 years of extensive professional experience, serving in a variety of roles across the Ministry.
From 2001 to 2006, she served as an Attaché at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver. She subsequently returned to the same mission in 2009 as Head of the Consular Section, a position she held until 2013.
Following the completion of her posting, she spent one year as an officer responsible for the European Neighbourhood Policy in the Office of the Political Director.
Between 2014 and 2017, she was responsible for parliamentary relations and the coordination of visits by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, serving first as Head of Division and subsequently as Deputy Director of the Minister’s Secretariat.
From 2017 to 2020, she served as Deputy Director of the Archives and Information Management Bureau. In this capacity, she was responsible for the implementation of the Ministry’s Electronic Document Management System and Intranet.
Between 2021 and 2025, she once again held the position of Deputy Director in the Minister’s Office. During this period, she coordinated the preparation of, and participated in, dozens of bilateral and multilateral meetings between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his counterparts, as well as heads of government and heads of state. She took part on numerous occasions in sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, meetings of the OSCE Ministerial Council, NATO Summits, and meetings of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council, gaining extensive diplomatic experience and building a broad network of professional contacts.
She is married and the mother of two adult children.
