Poland in Malta

The Embassy had the pleasure of participating in "Connecting Through Culture", an initiative organized by the Ta' Xbiex Local Council, bringing together diplomatic missions, local authorities, and members of the public in a celebration of cultural diversity and international cooperation.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland informs that the Consular Section and the Embassy will be closed on 29 June due to the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul National Day in Malta.

On May 30, 2026, a screening of the film "The Dwarf: A New Beginning" took place in the historic buildings of Fort St. Elmo in Valletta.

On 25 May, as part of the preparations for World Refugee Week 2026, Blue Door Education and The VX-Foundry organized the special event "Qlubija: The Courage to Learn.” The gathering took place as part of Refugee Week Malta, with the support of Arts Council Malta, creating a space for artistic and social activities focused on migration, identity, and collaboration.

Archbishop Wojciech Załuski arrived in Malta following Pope Leo XIV's appointment of him to the position of Apostolic Nuncio.

On May 16, the Polish Picnic 2026 took place in Malta, organized under the patronage of the Polish Embassy in Malta. The host and co-organizer of the event was Mariusz Dąbrowski, a stand-up comedian who ensured a fantastic atmosphere, humour, and unforgettable energy throughout the day!

On May 11th, a meeting was held at Police Headquarters in Valletta between representatives of the Embassies accredited to Malta and the Police Victim Support/Support Response Team.

On May 6, a reception to mark 3 May Constitution Day was held at the Casino Maltese in Valletta, with the President of the Republic of Malta, Miriam Spiteri Debono, as the guest of honour.

This year, we celebrate the 235th anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution. Adopted in 1791, it was the first written constitution in Europe and the second in the world, after the United States Constitution, regulating the functioning of the state and defining the rights and obligations of citizens.

Polish Flag Day is celebrated on May 2nd. Every year on this day, Poles proudly display their flags outdoors. On May 2nd we also celebrate the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad.
