Poland in Malta

During World War II, in the heart of neutral Europe-Bern, Switzerland-a remarkable group of individuals used diplomacy as a tool to save lives. The Ładoś Group, made up of Polish diplomats and Jewish activists, carried out a secret passport operation that helped thousands of Jews escape the Holocaust.

Yesterday marked the official opening of the thematic pavilion "Redefining. Polish-Ghanaian Textile Narratives” at the Malta Biennale, curated by Natalia Bradbury.

The Polish Pavilion at Malta Biennale 2026 has officially opened, presenting the exceptional project "Archive of Hesitations” by Weronika Zalewska, curated by Ada Piekarska.

On 11 March 2026, a Polish delegation visited Malta, led by Ms Bożena Żelazowska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The delegation also included Ms Urszula Ślązak, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and Mr Mariusz Górski, Advisor to Minister Żelazowska.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland informs that the consular section will be closed from march 10th to 13th.

The opening of this year's Malta Art Biennale is just around the corner! Poland will be represented by Weronika Zalewska with her project "Archive of Hesitations”, which will be presented at the Polish National Pavilion from 11 March to 29 May 2026.

Alongside the Polish National Pavilion at Malta Art Biennale 2026, the thematic pavilion of OmenaArt Foundation, Redefining. Polish-Ghanaian Textile Narratives, will also be presented.

On 4 February 2026, the historic Manoel Theatre hosted the concert "Of Love and Longing,” inaugurating the international chamber music festival DV'Classical, organised by the De Valette Chamber Orchestra. Held under the patronage of the Embassy, the event was a beautiful example of artistic dialogue between Malta and Poland.

In connection with the publication of the Regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs dated October 29, 2025, as of January 1, 2026, the consular fee rates for the services provided have changed.

Today, we hosted representatives of Partner Business Clubs and the PolishNews24.com portal at the Embassy. The discussions focused on the development of Polish entrepreneurship in Malta, promoting business opportunities, and establishing contacts with local partners.
