The Embassy of Poland at Festalingwi 2026
25.10.2026
On Sunday, 25 October 2026, the University of Malta's Valletta Campus hosted another edition of Festalingwi - a festival celebrating European languages and cultures as part of the European Day of Languages. The event brought together language enthusiasts, institutions, organisations and diplomatic missions for a varied programme of workshops, games, language lessons, talks and performances.
Poland at Festalingwi for the Second Time
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Malta participated in Festalingwi for the second time, promoting the Polish language and culture among an international audience. The Embassy’s stand attracted considerable interest, offering visitors the opportunity to discover Polish through a variety of games, creative activities and interactive experiences.
The event demonstrated that learning a language is not only about discovering new words and expressions, but also about enjoying shared experiences and exploring a country’s culture. Visitors had the opportunity to see how the Polish language can bring people together and inspire an interest in Poland and its cultural heritage.
A Special Thank You to the Students
Our special thanks go to the students who supported the Embassy during the event. Thank you for your fantastic energy, creativity and tremendous commitment! Thanks to you, our stand was full of life, and numerous visitors were able to discover the Polish language through fun games, imaginative activities and plenty of laughter.
You showed that learning Polish is above all about joy, having fun and sharing a passion that inspires others. Thank you for being part of this event, for supporting us and for representing the Polish language and culture in Malta with such pride!
Languages That Bring People Together
Taking part in Festalingwi provided the Embassy with another valuable opportunity to promote multilingualism, intercultural dialogue and Poland’s cultural heritage. The festival highlighted the important role languages play in building relationships, discovering other traditions and fostering mutual understanding. Initiatives of this kind not only celebrate Europe’s linguistic diversity, but also emphasise what brings people together, regardless of their background or the language they speak in their everyday lives.
For the Embassy, the event was also a valuable opportunity to introduce visitors to the Polish language and culture in an accessible and engaging way. The considerable interest in the Embassy’s stand and the enthusiasm of the visitors demonstrated that language learning can be an inspiring experience, encouraging meaningful connections and opening up new perspectives.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the organisers of Festalingwi, all those who visited the festival, and especially the students who supported our stand with such enthusiasm and commitment. Thanks to their contribution, the event became not only an opportunity to promote the Polish language, but also a chance to share knowledge, passion and the joy of discovering different cultures. We hope that the visitors’ encounter with Polish inspired them to learn more about Poland, its traditions and its rich cultural heritage
