Future Health Poland 2021 is the three days virtual event for the latest trends, advances and outstanding progress within the medical and healthcare industry in Poland. The event will be held on 23-25 March.

Thirty years ago, on 15 February 1991, the presidents of Poland and the Czechoslovakia, and the prime minister of Hungary signed the Declaration on Cooperation between the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Hungary in Striving for European Integration in the castle of Visegrad, Hungary.

The Visegrad Group (V4) was established 30 years ago as a regional format of cooperation between the four Central European countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, which are not only linked by neighbourhood and similar geopolitical situation but above all by common history, traditions, culture, and values. Attention! New restrictions on the Polish border from 28 December! From 28 December 2020 new restrictions related to the prevention of COVID-19 are in force on the Polish border. Citizens of Poland, EU, EEA and Switzerland who cross the Polish border, constituting the external border of the EU, are no longer exempt from quarantine. After crossing the internal border, persons travelling by public transport are directed to quarantine. Exempt from quarantine are, inter alia, individuals vaccinated against COVID-19.

Due to the Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group, as well as the 30th anniversary of the V4, which will fall next year, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Valletta has produced a video clip consisting of fragments of pieces by national composers of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Selected melodies were performed by musicians from the Visegrad Group countries living in Malta. In the background - beautiful landscapes of the island.

“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army, I hereby notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations of the existence of an Independent Polish State, within all the territories of the united Poland” – with these words Józef Piłsudski addressed the heads of world powers and notified them about the formation of the Second Polish Republic.

On 11 November 1918, 102 years ago, Poland regained its independence. On this day, after his release from the Magdeburg Fortress, Józef Piłsudski took over military command from the Regency Council and, three days later, assumed supreme authority over civilian matters, to finally “as Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army [...] notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations” of the reappearance of “the reborn and independent Republic of Poland” on the map. After 123 years of captivity, Poland became a sovereign and internationally recognised state.
