Update - 11 March:

Qatar

Due to repeated security alerts and missile and drone attacks, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha once again urges Polish citizens staying in Qatar to exercise extreme caution.

We remind you of the need to strictly follow the recommendations of the Qatari authorities, in particular the guidance to remain in your residence and restrict movement to an absolute minimum.

Please also stay away from the following places and facilities that may be potential targets for attacks:

• military facilities and defence installations

• places associated with American presence

• critical infrastructure

• major transport hubs

• other strategic facilities

In the event of a security alert or if you hear an explosion, remain indoors, away from windows and glass surfaces, and follow the instructions of the local authorities.

We emphasise that the security-related situation remains dynamic and there is a real risk of further attacks.

Please follow only official announcements by the Qatari authorities and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha.

Thailand

Flights from Thailand

There may be disruptions and cancellations of flights, in particular those with connections in the Middle East.

Flights with connections in Europe are operating normally. Thus, it is worth checking alternative routes via European hubs.

It is worth considering flights not only to Poland but also to other cities in Europe (e.g. Vienna, Berlin, Prague, London) and returning to your country from there.

Departure date change or flight rebooking is the responsibility of:

  • • the airline (for individual travel),
  • • the travel agency (for package travel).

The Embassy is unable to change bookings or enforce service provision by carriers.

If your stay is extended and your visa or visa-free stay expires, you should report to the nearest immigration office.

The Thai authorities have declared that overstay fines will not be charged for travellers stranded due to flight cancellations.

No documents from the embassy, confirming the impossibility to leave, are required.

Information about alleged financial support

The media reports about 2,000 baht per tourist per day have not been confirmed.

Thailand has not yet introduced such a programme; it is only under consideration. The full statement on the situation in Thailand is available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Also, on 8 March Qatar Airways completed repatriation flights from Hamad Airport to:

Israel

This morning, Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv resumed departure operations in an extremely limited format.

This does not mean full reopening of the Israeli airspace or resumption of the standard flights schedule. The airport is operating on a very limited scale. Flights are operated only by Israeli airlines, and new departure options are being finalized. Detailed notifications are provided on an ongoing basis in the Odyseusz system. If you don’t receive them, it means that the trip registered by you is beyond the date of the message. Please update it!

🛫  The airplanes can carry between 70 and 100 passengers per flight.

🚨  Each departure requires separate approval and coordination by the authorities.

Update - 6 March:

Due to the unstable security situation in the Middle East, in many countries of the region airspace for civil aviation remains partially or fully closed.

Qatar

Qatar has announced that passengers holding bookings for travel between 28 February and 15 March 2026 are eligible for a free change of the flight date (by up to 14 days) or a refund of the unused ticket value. Due to the large number of incoming calls, passengers are requested to contact the helpline only if their flight is within the next 48 hours.
