24.11.2025Polish Sport Development Strategy 2040. The Road to Olympic and Paralympic Games in Poland. Public consultations beginA year after announcing the commencement of works on the Polish Sport Development Strategy 2040, a meeting was held at PGE Narodowy national stadium in Warsaw to set out their further stages. The meeting was attended by Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki, Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, IOC member and two times Olympic vice-champion Maja Włoszczowska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Piotr Borys, Advisor to the Minister of Sport and Tourism and four times Olympic champion Robert Korzeniowski, presidents of Polish sports federations, athletes, as well as representatives of ministries, state-owned companies, sports organizations and the media.

18.11.2025Sports Ministers' joint statement on the decision of the International Paralympic Committee of 27 September 2025Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki has joined the Ministers for Sport from European and non-European countries who signed a joint statement on the International Paralympic Committee's announcement of 26 September 2025 on the Russian and Belarusian National Paralympic Committees.

16.11.2025Second edition of the tournament "From Orlik pitch to the Stadium” is behind us. Great emotions at PGE NarodowyLast Saturday will be remembered for long by young footballers who met at the PGE Narodowy national stadium for the Grand Finals of the tournament called From Orlik pitch to the Stadium. 24 teams competed in the tournament's final matches, refereed by Szymon Marciniak, for the title of Poland's best team in three age groups: U-13, U-14 and U-15. The medals and cups were handed over to the winners by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki.

07.11.2025Jakub Rutnicki, Minister of Sport and Tourism appointed Member of the Board of the World Anti-Doping AgencyOn 4 November 2025 Jakub Rutnicki, Minister of Sport and Tourism, was appointed by the Council of the European Union as a member of the Foundation Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). As a minister from the current presidency trio (Poland-Denmark-Cyprus), he will represent the European Union in the WADA structure. The Board, in which Poland has gained a representative, is WADA's highest decision-making body.

"I have focused on dialogue, cooperation and agreement”On Thursday evening, Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki provided information on programmes and projects planned by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. "Since my first days at the ministry, I have focused on dialogue, cooperation and agreement”, emphasised Minister Rutnicki at the session of the Sejm Committee on Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. The minister spoke e.g. about the talks with Polish sports federations, promotion of physical activity, support for athletes and for clubs that train children and young people, accelerated development of infrastructure, works on the Sports Development Strategy and building of the Poland Brand.

Press conference of Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki on the second anniversary of the parliamentary elections320 Orlik sports facilities have already been renovated, 1015 are under refurbishment and 83 new ones are under construction. The Orlik infrastructure programme has accelerated across Poland. Two years after the 2023 parliamentary elections Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki summarised to-date development of the infrastructure. The press conference held at the Orlik pitch in Prażmów was attended also by Michał Kmiecik, mayor of the municipality of Prażmów and by ambassadors of the Active School programme: Szymon Marciniak, a football referee and Sławomir Szmal, a former top handball player and the current president of the Polish Handball Federation.

15.10.2025Meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism with World Championships medallistsOn Wednesday, 15 October 2025 at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki and Secretaries of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism met with medallists of the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, the Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Ronse, the Para Fencing World Championships in Iksan, the World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore, coaching staff and representatives of the Polish Paralympic Committee.

06.10.2025Minister of Sport and Tourism condemns the decision of the International Paralympic Committee regarding Russia and BelarusMinister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki sent a letter to Sports Ministers of the European Union Member States, in which he criticised the decision of the International Paralympic Committee to reinstate Russia and Belarus as full members of the organisation.

12.09.2025Amendment to the Act on Sport adopted by the Sejm. New regulations to improve access to some sports facilitiesOn Friday, 12 September the Sejm unanimously adopted an amendment to the Act on Sport. Thanks to the new solutions, sports facilities such as sports pitches, courts, running tracks, ice rinks, outdoor gyms, skateparks, roller skating rinks and pump tracks will be exempt from noise level standards when used for sporting activities.
