10.04.2026Over 900 sports clubs from all over Poland have been selected as eligible to take part in the third edition of the KLUB PRO Programme of support to sports club. The aim of the programme is to provide funding to sports clubs that are the best in sports training provision to young people in Poland. This year, the allocations can amount to a total of PLN 104,696,000. The call for applications will be open until 30 April. The national partner and operator of the programme is Halina Konopacka LOTTO Foundation.

On Wednesday, 17 December 2025 at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism a meeting was held of Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki and Deputy Minister Piotr Borys with presidents of Polish winter sports federations whose athletes have qualified for the Olympic Games.

04.12.2025After three months of fierce competitions, the teams from Winnica and Brodnica became the winners of the national tournament Handball at Orlik Pitches. During the final matches held on 3 December at Gdańsk-Sopot ERGO Arena, the young players showed great commitment. The matches were watched by current and former national team members who were present in the stadium.

02.12.2025Magdalena Krucz was appointed president of the Polish Tourism Organisation on 2 December 2025, at a session of the Senate Committee on National Economy and Innovation. The nomination letter was presented to her by Jakub Rutnicki, Minister of Sport and Tourism and Ireneusz Raś, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

02.12.2025At the Polish Senate, a meeting devoted to the future of tourism in Poland was held, which was attended by representatives of the government, the parliament, experts and representatives of the industry. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism was represented by Secretary of State Ireneusz Raś who presented current data on the sector and its key development directions.

24.11.2025A year after announcing the commencement of works on the Polish Sport Development Strategy 2040, a meeting was held at PGE Narodowy national stadium in Warsaw to set out their further stages. The meeting was attended by Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki, Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, IOC member and two times Olympic vice-champion Maja Włoszczowska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Piotr Borys, Advisor to the Minister of Sport and Tourism and four times Olympic champion Robert Korzeniowski, presidents of Polish sports federations, athletes, as well as representatives of ministries, state-owned companies, sports organizations and the media.
