Tour groups from China will visit Poland
17.08.2023
Starting from today, group tours from China to Poland are resumed. It is a positive milestone in the recovery of our inbound tourism, said Deputy Minister Andrzej Gut-Mostowy commenting on the positive effect of tourism cooperation between the countries.
The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Poland has announced that starting from 10 August 2023, Poland has been on the list of countries to which Chinese citizens are again allowed to travel. China’s tourism travel restrictions connected with the global coronavirus pandemic remained in effect from 24 January 2020. At that time, China introduced the prohibition for travel agencies to sell package travel and linked travel arrangement products that included hotel bookings and airline tickets.
We hope that in these circumstances, we will manage to further strengthen the mutual exchange and cooperation in the field of tourism,
– wrote the Chinese party.
Restoring tourism flows between our countries has been a strategic goal of the Department of Tourism and the Polish Tourism Organization’s international office in Beijing. The Chinese market, due to the pandemic, has been experienced the longest period of isolation among all the countries worldwide. The intense activities of the Polish Tourism Organization’s international office in Beijing, based mainly on live streaming, digital campaigns and workshops for China’s tourism sector stimulated the demand and interest in visiting Poland among Chinese citizens.
An important element of developing a fashion in China for visiting Poland has been the award to our country, by a leading travel industry platform Toncheng Travel, of a prize for „the most promising and prospective travel destination 2023”.
We are pleased to welcome again the long-awaited visitors whose arrival has been preceded by a recent stay of Chinese bloggers in Poland,
– added Rafał Szmytke, President of the Polish Tourism Organisation.
