Activities of the EUCPN and Member States

Fundamental documents adopted by the EUCPN Board

Annual Work Programmes

The EUCPN operates on the basis of an Annual Work Programme approved by the Board. The programme sets out issues relating to the financing of activities, priorities and activities of the Network in the following four strategic objectives:

  1. the possibility to develop benchmarks and procedures in the EUCPN for various target groups (e.g. decision makers, institutions, organisations and working groups at different levels – local, national, international)
  2. promoting knowledge on crime prevention
  3. supporting crime prevention activities at local and national level
  4. supporting various aspects of crime prevention at EU level, taking into account EU strategic priorities in this field.

The tasks and projects are specified under the various strategic objectives.

The current Presidency of the Council of the European Union – Germany – within the EUCPN will focus on the issue of organised crime related to distinct social groups often characterised by structures resembling a clan or family (so-called family-based organised crime). The previous Presidency – Croatia – focused on the prevention of drug-related crimes at various types of events in entertainment venues (concert venues, clubs, discos, etc.).

The Work Programme for 2020 also includes information on 54 crime prevention projects implemented in 2020, including 19 projects from Poland.

The EUCPN Work Programme for 2020 was adopted by the EUCPN Board at its meeting on 11 December 2020 in Helsinki.
