Communication from the Ministry of the Interior and Administration

We communicate that on Wednesday, 14 December this year, at 7:50 a.m., there was an explosion in the room adjacent to the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Police. One of the gifts the Commander had received during his working visit to Ukraine, where he met with the heads of the Ukrainian Police and the State Emergency Service on 11-12 December, exploded.

The gift was from one of the heads of the Ukrainian services. As a result of the explosion, the Commander suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for observation. A civilian employee of the National Police Headquarters also suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalisation.

The Polish side has asked the Ukrainian side to provide relevant explanations. The case has been handled by the prosecutor's office and relevant services from the outset.
