18.12.2020

As a result of the decision of the Undersecretary of State Bartosz Grodecki, Polish migration services have started implementing a project aimed at supporting their Moldovan counterparts in the field of force returns' organisation according to the international standards. The project will last till February 2022.

The project foresees improvement of the national procedures through a series of trainings and workshops for representatives of Moldovan administration and other entities involved in organisation and monitoring of returns of foreigners from the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The initiative of the Ministry is part of Poland’s solidarity-driven activities targeting the partner states of the Eastern neighbourhood of the EU. It stands as well as a practical manifestation of the consistent position of Poland presented in the EU fora regarding the need of anticipatory actions already on the territory of third countries in order to alleviate irregular migration’s pressure on the EU borders.

In parallel, in the framework of the holistic approach to the external dimension of the migration policy, the Polish services implement projects with other countries. In the case of Georgia the Polish party transfers its experiences in managing contacts with the diaspora and temporary labour migration, while a project with Azerbaijan encompasses support to creation of efficient system of readmisson and reintegration of Azerbaijani returnees from the EU Member States.
