On Thursday, 14 April, President Andrzej Duda signed the Act on unique solutions to prevent support for aggression against Ukraine and protect national security. “Ukraine is fighting for the freedom of Europe, for the freedom of Poland. On Friday, 15 April, the Act on amending the Act on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with armed conflict on the territory of that country and some other acts entered into force. The amendment was prepared by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in cooperation with other ministries.

Yesterday, 1 April, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Interior and Administration as the Government's Plenipotentiary for war refugees from Ukraine.

"Great Britain responds to the Polish proposal to present specific offers for refugees from Ukraine in other Western European countries than Poland. This is the first comprehensive offer received from another country," said Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker. On Friday, 1 April, Deputy Ministers Paweł Szefernaker and Bartosz Grodecki met in Krakow with the representatives of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons. The conversation concerned the aid for war refugees from Ukraine.
