Polish-Slovenian talks

On Thursday, 6th May, Minister Mariusz Kamiński met with the Minister of the Interior of Slovenia, Aleš Hojs. The talks focused on the priorities of the upcoming Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council in the area of home affairs.

Ministers discussed, among others, the topics which are currently on the European agenda: New Pact on Migration and Asylum, border protection and reform of police cooperation.

Minister Hojs thanked the Polish side for the support provided to the Slovenian police in connection with the increased migratory pressure.

In December 2020, Slovenia signed with the countries of the Visegrad Group and Estonia a joint position on the New Pact on Migration and Asylum.
