The Minister of the Interior and Administration holds talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine

On Friday, 14 February, Minister of the Interior and Administration and Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov for the second time this year. Their talks revolved around issues pertaining to the stay of Ukrainian war refugees in Poland. Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk also participated in the talks.

There are currently more than 992,000 Ukrainian citizens registered in the UKR PESEL system eligible for temporary protection in Poland.

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration constantly analyses all the issues concerning the conditions of stay of Ukrainian citizens in Poland. Based on these parameters, further steps will be taken as to their status and other conditions of their stay in Poland. In the process, the interests of both the Polish and Ukrainian side will be taken into account and respected.
