"The Polish approach is steady and coherent. The North Atlantic Alliance should focus on strengthening the armed forces, on building interoperability. In my speech, I stressed that 2% of GDP for defense is the minimum, and the target should be much higher. A great many voices were raised sharing just such a point of view. I consider that we are on the right track to make the North Atlantic Alliance even stronger. This is a guarantee of the security of all NATO countries, but it is also a guarantee for the entire free world." - noted Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak after the session of the North Atlantic Council.

"As at the prior meetings, we discussed effective support for Ukraine. I presented information on building a coalition of Leopard tank's donors. More states have declared their participation in the coalition. As I announced previously, we have shared responsibilities with my German counterpart - Germany is building a coalition of countries that possess Leopards 2A6, and Poland of countries that own Leopards 2A4. The Canadian and Spanish declarations were joined today by Norway. We are working on getting Finland to donate this type of tank as well" - informed Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during a visit to Brussels.

"We are not waiting until the coalition of countries willing to transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine is formed. We have already started training Ukrainian soldiers on Leopard tanks. As Mr. President said, tankers are people who have experienced war. They previously used post-Soviet equipment, and today they are getting trained to operate Western equipment. This equipment has an undoubted advantage. The idea is to stop the growth of the Russian empire. Ukrainians are bravely defending their country " said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during a visit to the Leopard Training Center in Swietoszow.

- In 2018, we ordered the first PATRIOT sets. At the end of last year, they arrived in Poland. The exercises aimed at their integration process first began at the firing range in Torun, today they are taking place in the 3rd Warsaw Air Defense Missile Brigade in Sochaczew. We are also starting exercises, if need be, to relocate the units, take a position and of combat preparation," said Mariusz Blaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense, during a meeting with soldiers of the missile brigade.

"We support Ukraine, as for us a free Ukraine is the guarantee of a free Poland. This was said by the late President Lech Kaczynski in 2008 in Georgia. (...) As we can see, the Russian empire, regardless of whether it is white, red or Putin's, is committing war crimes. It is the duty of the free world to oppose these tendencies to rebuild the empire. That is why Poland supports Ukraine. We are impressed by the bravery of Ukrainian soldiers, and we attempt to support Ukraine, but also refugees who want to find shelter in Poland. I am proud of the attitude of my nation." - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said during a visit to Ukraine.

"Thank you for our Polish-Croatian cooperation, for our joint efforts to strengthen the resilience of NATO countries and the European Union in the face of threats lurking in all of us. Already at the end of this month, my colleague, the Minister will be in Poland. We will talk to Polish, Croatian, American, British and Romanian soldiers who are stationed in our country. I am obliged for that Croatian forces continue their presence on Polish soil. This undoubtedly strengthens the interoperability between our armed forces and shows the solidarity of the North Atlantic Alliance countries." - Mariusz Blaszczak, Minister of National Defense, said during his visit to Croatia.

"As part of the new support package for Ukraine, I presented our Polish support - we will be able to both equip and train Ukrainian soldiers on a scale up to brigade level by the end of March. Equipment will be well used. These will include armoured personnel carriers and T-72 tanks." - Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said in Ramstein.

"Our view is clear, simple and consistent - Ukraine should be supported and we are doing that. As we were doing even before Ukraine was invaded, and as we will continue to do. We all know very well that there are states that are truly involved in helping, and states that help only symbolically, or perhaps even only staging any help. Our task is to convince and show that only real, actual aid matters. Otherwise, we face a very grave prospect. (...) Our task is to support Ukraine and convince our Allies that such support makes sense." - Mariusz Blaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense, said after a videoconference with defense ministers of countries supporting Ukraine.

"I am highly satisfied with the meeting that the minister held today with Romanian soldiers stationed in Poland. I thanked him for the fact that Romanian soldiers are stationed as part of the NATO Battalion Battle Group on Polish soil, and for the fact that we are building interoperability between our armed forces. We also discussed the subject of our cooperation, which is very smooth, which we can both be proud of. We have a lot in common, both historically and in terms of today's military cooperation. In the NATO format, but also in the Bucharest Nine and the European Union" - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Romania.

We strengthen the Polish military, the Polish Armed Forces, and the „iron fist” of the Polish Army in order to effectively deter the aggressor. One of the elements of the strengthening process is providing the Polish Army with the proper equipment – it is the best factor in our entire deterrence policy. Abrams tanks are such equipment - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.
