"I am highly satisfied with the meeting that the minister held today with Romanian soldiers stationed in Poland. I thanked him for the fact that Romanian soldiers are stationed as part of the NATO Battalion Battle Group on Polish soil, and for the fact that we are building interoperability between our armed forces. We also discussed the subject of our cooperation, which is very smooth, which we can both be proud of. We have a lot in common, both historically and in terms of today's military cooperation. In the NATO format, but also in the Bucharest Nine and the European Union" - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Romania.

We strengthen the Polish military, the Polish Armed Forces, and the „iron fist” of the Polish Army in order to effectively deter the aggressor. One of the elements of the strengthening process is providing the Polish Army with the proper equipment – it is the best factor in our entire deterrence policy. Abrams tanks are such equipment - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

“Thank you for our talks, which, with no doubt, were extremely interesting, and which testify to close Polish-French relations - both in bilateral contact as well as within the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. Today, we had the opportunity to jointly approve an agreement between the European Airbus company, its French branch, and the Armament Agency on equipping the Polish Armed Forces with two reconnaissance satellites. This is an extremely imperative capacity and an opportunity to complement everything that comes with deterrence and early warning capabilities. Both in the military and civilian dimension” - noted Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after the meeting with Sébastien Lecornu, the head of the French Ministry of Defence.

- In July last year, we informed the public about the decision we had taken. The decision to purchase and equip the Polish land forces with 250 state-of-the-art Abrams tanks. In August this year, here at the training ground in Biedrusko, in the Land Forces Training Center, the "Abrams Academy" began its activity. Exercises have begun. Training of Polish crews and military technicians to operate these tanks, which are the most modern in the world, has begun. Next year, the Polish Army will receive the first used Abrams tanks. Ultimately, the Polish land forces will have 366 Abrams tanks at their disposal, including 250 tanks of the latest generation - said the head of the Ministry of National Defense during the meeting with Polish soldiers.

We remember all the soldiers who carry out their mission and service. We especially remember the soldiers who lost their lives serving on missions outside our country. Today marks 11 years since the tragic accident in Afghanistan, when five 20th Mechanized Brigade’s soldiers were killed while performing their duties in Afghanistan - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense during the celebrations of the Day of Remembrance for the Fallen and Dead in Missions and Operations outside the State Borders.

- Most of all, thank you, the Polish Armed Forces’ soldiers and officers of other services, for your daily service, which assures our homeland’s security. Mr. President mentioned the safeguarding of the Polish-Belarusian border, the model cooperation between the Polish soldiers and the officers of the services subordinated to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, as well as everything that determines the safety of our homeland - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas, during the meeting in Rzeszów.

“Soldiers of the 11th Artillery Regiment, from now on the 1st Masurian Artillery Brigade, have received modern equipment. The Russian aggression against Ukraine confirmed how significant it is for the Polish Armed Forces to be strong. How important it is to be equipped with modern and effective weapons. The idea is to deter the aggressor and cause a state in which he will not dare to attack Poland. And he will not dare to do so when the Polish Armed Forces are strong. We efficiently strengthen the Polish Armed Forces, as evidenced by these 24 K9 gun-howitzers imported from South Korea, which now are in the brigade’s equipment" said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the handover of the first K9 gun-howitzers to the Polish Armed Forces.

“Things have accelerated. On August 26, I approved the contract to purchase K2 tanks for the Polish Armed Forces' equipment. Today, the first examples of these tanks, which arrived in the port of Gdynia a few days ago, are here in the earmarked military unit, in the 20th Mechanized Brigade - a brigade which thanks to the delivery of the K2 tank battalion to Morąg grows. We intend to create another battalion in Ostróda, in the very place where in 2011 the government of the PO-PSL coalition liquidated the previously existing military unit” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during the handover of the first K2 tanks to the Polish Armed Forces.

"This is an important day in the history of the Polish Armed Forces and an important event that strengthens its capabilities. The equipment delivered from South Korea - K2 tanks and K9 howitzers are already on Polish soil. Thank you, Mr. President, for being present with us today in this important moment. We seek peace, so we are preparing for war. We are developing the Polish Armed Forces, both in numbers and by equipping it with modern equipment. Both K2 tanks and K9 howitzers are among the most modern weapons. Therefore, this equipment gives Poland a tool to effectively deter the aggressor" - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during the collection of equipment from South Korea.

“I have no doubt that 2022 will mark the beginning of upcoming years of fruitful defense industry cooperation between Poland and South Korea. The geopolitical situation, the aggressive policy of Russia in particular, made the rapid growth and modernization of the Polish Armed Forces a necessity. I am glad that we have found partners with whom we can address the threats, simultaneously creating bonds of mutual support, trust and cooperation. I think that the thread of understanding we have established will strengthen, and cooperation will also regard other areas," said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during the Polish-Korean Defense Industry Cooperation Conference.
