    - It's a historic event, we have an agreement regarding spending 5% of GDP on armaments, modernization, transformation, military mobility and all the issues connected to the security of the Alliance and our countries. There is no country that opposes this. After discussions lasting to the very end - yesterday we've had a meeting of the ministers of defence and ministers of foreign affairs, exchanges of views, convincing each other - we have an agreement - said Deputy Prime Minister W. Our relations, our investments, common defence, common values - those are the foundations of our security. For a safe Poland there is no alternative other than a Polish-American alliance and a strong Poland within Europe. These two things complement each other, and Poland is a trans-atlantic vehicle. This idea that we have presented a few months ago, when president Trump assumed his office - that Poland is a trans-atlantic vehicle - is bearing fruit. We support all actions leading to increasing defence spending and Poland is a model ally, as defence secretary Hegseth has said - it's a country that spends almost 5% of its GDP on defence, invests in the most modern technologies and is always ready to lend aid - said the deputy prime minister W. Kosiniak - Kamysz during his visit in the USA.

The strategy of our countries is a strategy for peace. It is a partnership for peace. We do not want war in any shape or form. All the efforts that we are undertaking - increased defence spending, aid for Ukraine, integrating our operational capabilities, shared excercises, increasing our potential - are done to maintain peace. Peace cannot defend itself, which is why we need our strength. The strength of our E5 Group, NATO and the EU - deputy prime minister Władysław Kosiniak - Kamysz said after the meeting of the E5 Group countries defence ministers.

Since ratifying the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (Ottawa Convention), the security situation in our region has fundamentally deteriorated. Military threats to NATO Member States bordering Russia and Belarus have significantly increased. In light of this unstable security environment—marked by Russia’s aggression and its ongoing threat to the Euro-Atlantic community—it is essential to evaluate all measures to strengthen our deterrence and defense capabilities.

    - We in Poland recognize three lines of action, and I am pleased to hear that they are shared among us. To keep Russia as far away from here as possible. As far away from our countries as possible. That means supporting Ukraine, and we all agree on that. Wedeclare our continued support for Ukraine when it is fighting, and when the desired, just peace arrives. The second line is building trans-atlantic relationships. We are willing and ready, and confirm our strategic trans-atlantic partnership. The third line is building a strong Europe. This is what we have focused on today. Not just the military strength of Europe, but the strength of its infrastructure related to arms production – deputy prime minister W. Kosiniak – Kamysz said in Paris.

NATO – Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC) has opened. It is the first endeavour of this kind, the first institution like that, tangible proof of the relations between NATO and Ukraine. It is an important moment for our partnership, as we can easily say that a partnership between NATO and Ukraine exists – it exists from the beginning of the war, encompassing planned and delivered support. But it is that bidirectional action – for Poland and the NATO countries, as well as for Ukraine – that is true solidarity. Solidarity with one another, not against each other – said deputy prime minister Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz during the press conference.

    - Today we have discussed Alliance capabilites and we have heard very good things. A plan was accepted that will increase rapid response capabilities. (…) This means an increase in the capability to defend, especially NATO’s eastern flank, and particularly Poland, by all the allied forces. In this, allied unity is maintained and stressed. – deputy prime minister – minister of national defence Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz said during the second day of his visit in Brussels.
