Poland in New Zealand

We had the pleasure of welcoming Colonel Robert Tkaczyk, Poland's first ever Defence attaché to New Zealand, who paid an accreditation visit to Wellington.

The visit included a number of high-level meetings, among others with the Chief of New Zealand Defence Force, AM Tony Davies, Vice Chief of Defence Force RADM Mat Williams and Chief of Army MAJGEN Rose King.

Poland's and New Zealand's decision to mutually accredit defence attachés is testament to the growing defence ties between our countries, which include the NZDF personnel deployment to Poland, as part of the multi-national training initiative Operation Legio, focused on training and supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
