Poland and the Cook Islands establish diplomatic relations

The Republic of Poland and the Cook Islands have officially formalized diplomatic and consular relations through the exchange of notes, marking the establishment of a new partnership between the two countries.
The occasion was celebrated on March 25, 2025, by the Polish Head of Mission His Excellency Patryk Błaszczak and the Cook Islands High Commissioner Her Excellency Kairangi Samuela at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Wellington.
Poland and the Cook Islands welcome the opportunity to explore potential areas of cooperation including in areas such as environmental sustainability, blue economy, education, and regional security. Her Excellency Kairangi Samuela, High Commissioner of the Cook Islands, commented, "Poland’s establishment as our 68th diplomatic partner is a great step forward for the Cook Islands. We are excited about the opportunity of deepening our relationship with Poland, particularly at a time when partnerships are critical. We look forward to building meaningful cooperation across various sectors."
His Excellency Patryk Blaszczak, Head of Mission of Poland in Wellington commented, "Poland is looking forward to strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Cook Islands on shared priorities, as well as within multilateral fora. The establishment of diplomatic and consular relations marks a new chapter of partnership and cooperation between our nations."
