Poland for IMO Council

As a flag state, port state and coastal state, Poland is actively engaged in the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) efforts to ensure safe and secure shipping, prosperity of seafarers and clean oceans.

„For Poles, access to the sea means not only an economic opportunity, but it’s also a symbol of freedom and independence,” said Polish Ambassador Arkady Rzegocki in his opening speech as he welcomed gathered guests, including Kitack Lim, IMO Secretary-General, and Marek Gróbarczyk, Polish Minister of Marine Economy and Inland Navigation.
