Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Commemoration at JW3

On Thursday, 20 April 2023, a commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising took place at JW3.
Organised in partnership with the Polish Embassy, the Warsaw Ghetto Museum in Poland, and the Learning from the Righteous charity, the event featured speeches by Polish Ambassador Piotr Wilczek, German Ambassador Miguel Berger and Warsaw Ghetto Museum Director Albert Stankowski, talks by Holocaust survivor Joan Salter and Learning from the Righteous CEO Antony Lishak, and a panel discussion with Joan Salter and Antony Lishak chaired by Thamar Barnett. Salter talked about her childhood, her family's history and remembrance, while Lishak spoke about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, archeological excavations and Holocaust education.
