On the sidelines of the Grüne Woche (Green Week) trade fair in Berlin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk held talks with the Agriculture Ministers of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Kazakhstan on the possibilities for developing cooperation with Poland in the field of agriculture.

The difficult situation on agricultural markets caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine was the subject of a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk and other Agriculture Ministers from EU Member States. The heads of the agricultural ministries of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary attended the meeting. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Green Week trade fair in Berlin.

Green Week (Grüne Woche), an international trade fair regarded as the leading agri-food sector event, began in Berlin. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk, is participating in the fair.

Today Mr. Rafał Romanowski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with Mr. Markiyan Dmytrasevych, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Transit of agricultural products from Ukraine through the territory of Poland was the main topic of talks between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk and Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi. The meeting took place today in a remote format. Deputy Minister Rafał Romanowski also participated.

During the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk with Israeli Ambassador to Poland Yacov Livne, the interlocutors emphasised the willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. The meeting was held at the request of the Israeli side.

During the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) with the participation of Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik the current issues of European agriculture and fisheries were discussed.

Today, Mr. Rafał Romanowski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with Mr. Bakhrom Babayev, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland. The meeting was an opportunity to sum up the existing cooperation and to draw up plans for its development in the future.
