Polish companies present their offer at the BATA AGRO 2026 fair in Bulgaria

Today, the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak attended the opening of the International Agricultural Exhibition BATA AGRO 2026 in Stara Zagora. During the visit, he took in the Polish national stand and had a conversation with the representatives of the companies promoting the Polish machinery and technologies for agriculture. The discussions with the management of the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture will be held tomorrow.

– Poland is a major food and agricultural machinery producer. I am delighted that the Polish companies mark their presence at BATA AGRO and may present their state-of-the-art solutions at one of the most important sectoral events  in the region. It is a great opportunity to establish trade relations and build up economic cooperation between Poland and Bulgaria – emphasized the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak.

BATA AGRO – the largest agricultural fair in Bulgaria

The International Agricultural Exhibition BATA AGRO is held between 1 and 5 June 2026 in Stara Zagora. This is the largest exhibition event for the agricultural sector in Bulgaria. This-year’s edition gathered ca. 180 exhibitors presenting agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, means of production, solutions for precision farming and services for the agricultural sector.

Following the gala opening, the Secretary of State visited the Polish national stand developed by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and had a meeting with the representatives of the Polish companies.

Talks with the Polish exhibitors

During the visit, the Secretary of State met with the representatives of the Polish enterprises participating in the fair. The talks focused on among others the exportation development opportunities, cooperation with the foreign partners and challenges faced by the producers of machinery and equipment for agriculture.

The Polish companies have been among the major producers of machinery and equipment for agriculture for years and their products have been sold in many foreign markets.

Cooperation between Poland and Bulgaria

Poland and Bulgaria have regular contacts in the matters concerning agriculture and rural development. Last year, the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak also took part in the BATA AGRO fair and talked with the representatives of the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture.

Talks in Sofia

On Tuesday, 2 June, the Secretary of State Czerniak will hold a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria, Krasimir Chakarov. The talks will focus on among others the future of the Common Agricultural Policy, situation on the agricultural markets, availability of fertilizers and the EU-Mercosur Agreement.
