29.07.2026
Eleven Polish companies present their offer at the World Food Expo (WOFEX) Fair in Manila - the largest food industry event in Philippines. Poland presents its offer for the first time. The Polish national stand was opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski. The Ministry Head invited the visitors to taste Polish products and the local entrepreneurs - to cooperate and buy Polish food.
– Philippines is nearly 120 million of consumers seeking high-quality products. This is why we present Polish food here – from dairy and meat products to sweets and processed food. I encourage the Philippine partners to enter into discussions with the Polish entrepreneurs and I believe that they will lead to the new, long-term contracts. I also hope that the Philippine consumers will enjoy the taste of Polish apples in near future - said Minister Stefan Krajewski.
Poland and its national stand for the first time at WOFEX
The World Food Expo (WOFEX) is the largest food industry fair in Philippines and one of the most important events of this sector in Southeast Asia. This-year edition is the first one with the Polish national stand organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture.
The joint exposition presents 11 Polish enterprises from the dairy, meat and confectionary sectors and the processed food producers. The national stand developed by the National Support Centre for Agriculture in cooperation with the entrepreneurs aims to support establishing new trade relations, increasing recognition of the Polish products and strengthening the position of Polish food on the Southeast Asian markets. Each year, WOFEX gathers the producers, importers, distributors and representatives of the catering sector from the entire region, which is why it is considered one of the most important platforms for establishing business contacts.
Polish food wins new markets
Supporting the Polish entrepreneurs in their expansion abroad is among the priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In 2025, the value of Polish agri-food export exceeded EUR 58 billion and accounted for 16 percent of the total export of Poland.
Importantly, Philippines is among the most perspective markets for export of Polish food in Southeast Asia. Increasing interest in high-quality products creates new opportunities for the domestic entrepreneurs, in particular in the dairy, meet and food processing sectors. For this reason, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Support Centre for Agriculture continue to support the presence of the Polish producers on this market and the activities for increasing food export outside the European Union.
Talks with the representatives of the Philippine meat industry
Minister Stefan Krajewski had a meeting with the representatives of the Philippine Association of Meat Processors Inc. (PAMPI). The talks covered development of trade cooperation, increasing the presence of the Polish meat producers on the Philippine market and further market opening for Polish food. It was also the opportunity to discuss the achieved effects of cooperation and the activities, which have facilitated development of bilateral trade in recent years.
During the meeting the Minister emphasized the significant advance of cooperation between Poland and Philippines in the agri-food sector in recent years. He reminded among others the meeting of Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak with the representatives of the Philippine Ministry of Agriculture and the visit of the Philippine meat industry delegation to Poland held in June.
– I note with satisfaction that our cooperation with the Republic of Philippines in the agricultural sector is dynamic and demonstrates high development potential. Constructive dialogue brings benefits to both parties, which is also confirmed by the outcomes of trade with agri-food products – said Minister Stefan Krajewski.
Minister expressed his thanks to the Philippine party for recognising the regionalisation principle for highly pathogenic avian influenza and the African swine fever. He emphasized that these decisions are of key importance for ensuring continuity of safe trade, stability of supplies and further development of economic cooperation between both countries.
Poland is among the leading meat producers in the European Union. In 2025, the export of meat industry products exceeded EUR 13 billion and accounted for more than 22 percent of the Polish agri-food export as a whole. Poland is the largest poultry meat producers in the European Union and approx. 60 percent of domestic production is allocated onto the foreign markets. The non-EU markets, including the Asian states, offering high potential for further growth of trade cooperation, continue to increase their importance for the Polish meat export.
