Prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation and trade exchange

Secretary of State Stefan Krajewski highlighted the dynamic growth of Polish-Turkish relations and emphasised that Poland was keen to intensify bilateral cooperation in agricultural matters. A key foundation for this collaboration is the Memorandum of Understanding on agricultural cooperation signed in Ankara in May 2021.

“We are ready to increase the volume and expand the range of Polish agri-food products exported to Turkey,” assured Deputy Minister Krajewski, encouraging Turkish partners to engage with the National Support Centre for Agriculture – a government agency dedicated to supporting the export of Polish agri-food products.

“We are committed to removing existing barriers to the Turkish market, as more Polish establishments are seeking authorisation to export beef to Turkey,” said Secretary of State Stefan Krajewski.

Chairman Ferhat Nasıroğlu agreed that joint efforts were needed to support the development of trade in agri-food products between Poland and Turkey. He also noted that Turkey saw potential for establishing scientific and research cooperation with Polish universities and research institutions active in the field of agriculture.

Agri-food exports to Turkey

Turkey is the leading destination for Polish agri-food products among countries in the Middle East region. In 2024, the value of agri-food exports to Turkey reached EUR 491 million. Key export items included fresh or chilled beef, processed food products, animal feed, and bakery goods.
