Mr. Dariusz Wiśniewski
Dariusz Wiśniewski is a professional diplomat. He obtained a graduate degree from the Department of History at the University of Warsaw, as well as completed post-graduate studies at the National School of Public Administration (Poland) and at Oxford University.
Mr. Wiśniewski has been serving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) since 1994. He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador ad personam and speaks English, French, and Croatian fluently.
During his work for the MFA, he has exercised various functions in the Department of North and South America, Secretariat of the Minister, Professional Development Centre, and Department of Consular Affairs.
From December 2015 to August 2016, he was Director General of the Foreign Service.
He served in diplomatic missions in Washington and Zagreb, holding positions in political affairs. From 2013 to 2015, he was Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lyon; and from September 2016 to August 2017 he headed the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Paris as chargé d’affaires.
Mr. Wiśniewski and his wife Ewa, researcher at the University of Warsaw, have five adult children.
