Deputy Minister Małgorzata Golińska at ESG Congress - Polish Business Power

Environmental awareness, environmental education, COP26 climate summit, as well as Poland's climate and energy transformation were the main discussion topics during the Ecology v Economy panel at the ESG Congress - Polish Business Power. The event, held on 5 November 2021, was attended by Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Małgorzata Golińska.

During the event, Deputy Minister Golińska stressed that building and raising environmental awareness of Polish citizens is crucial for the implementation of environmental standards, which is why ecological education activities are of utmost importance.

The Deputy Minister also stressed that the achievement of objectives in areas such as improved air quality, protection of native biodiversity, or just energy transition, is closely related to the level of environmental competence of the society.

The Deputy Minister also pointed out that the interest in the programmes implemented by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, in particular those included in the Polish Deal, is constantly growing.

During the event, Deputy Minister Golińska also reminded that Poland presented its position on climate protection during the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

At the climate summits, such as COP24 or COP26, we have been stressing and we are still stressing the importance of just transition. During these conferences, we should listen to the positions of all parties and propose compromise solutions,
