The portal has been created primarily for individuals and entities interested in generating energy from renewable sources who may lack sufficient experience in implementing such investments. The functionalities offered by NCP RES are designed to support users throughout the entire investment process by providing reliable information on renewable energy investment procedures and practical guidance on their implementation.

During the meeting, discussions included changes to regulations on CO2 emission standards for vehicles, the directions of EU climate policy after 2030, the bioeconomy strategy and international cooperation in the area of environmental protection. Poland was represented by Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Krzysztof Bolesta.

19.03.2026"Poland is seeking changes to the European Emissions Trading System (ETS) so that it better protects the economy and citizens,” said Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment, during the conference. The Modernisation Fund is financed from ETS revenues, and the funds are used to support the transformation of the Polish economy. That is why the government is seeking to extend this system. As part of the current round of applications, the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management announced five new programmes today.

Thanks to a comprehensive range of measures, the risk of human contact with large predators will be minimised.

16.03.2026The Ministry of Climate and Environment is launching a recruitment drive for a pilot project of innovative technologies to reduce the salinity of the Oder River. The call for proposals, organised by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), aims to support research into more energy-efficient methods of desalinating mine water and to test these methods under industrial conditions.

11.03.2026- Today we are signing agreements with PGE Dystrybucja for a grant of PLN 1.4 billion from the National Recovery Plan for the modernization and construction of power grids. These investments will increase the connection capacity potential by 541 MW, said Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska during the ceremony at the headquarters of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

Poland was represented by Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister for Climate and the Environment, whilst the German side was led by Carsten Schneider, Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The meeting took place on March 10, 2026 in Gniezno.

09.03.2026On March 9, 2026, a meeting of the Environment Ministers of the Weimar Triangle countries took place in Gniezno, reinstating regular consultations in this format for the first time in years. Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska hosted Minister Monique Barbut of France and Minister Carsten Schneider of Germany. In the year marking the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle, the talks at a location symbolic of Polish statehood resulted in a shared vision for further action on the key climate and environmental challenges of the European Union.
