The P-TECC summit in Warsaw will be hosted by Minister Michał Kurtyka and the US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. The initiative aims at development of cooperation between the United States and the Central and Eastern Europe countries in the area of energy security, clean energy and climate-neutral energy transformation.

We are honoured to be this year’s host of the summit dedicated to this initiative. The Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation is a forum for sharing best practices in the area of energy security and development of energy systems. It is a great platform to promote the new investments in energy infrastructure. The summit will provide an opportunity for in-depth discussion on how to support energy transformation in the region – said Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka.

The U.S. Department of Energy is honoured to announce the subsequent edition of the P-TECC initiative. The event will be eld in September in Poland. This year, we want to focus on counteracting the climate crisis and promote the measures implementing the innovative technologies dedicated to clean energy. In this way we will create millions of well-paid jobs and build stronger and more resilient energy systems. We are grateful to our partners from the Ministry of Climate and Environment and await the dialogue with the ministers from throughout Central and Eastern Europe and with the companies from our continents – said Andrew Light, Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy.

The first day of summit co-organised by Atlantic Council will be dedicated to business forum attended by representatives of companies from the entire region. The agenda includes discussions on the existing and emerging solutions in the energy section, a session dedicated to financing the investments in this area and demonstrations of the new technologies

The meeting of the high-level representatives of the TSI and observer states as well as of the European Commission will take place on the second day of summit. The debate will focus on such areas as security of supplies, energy efficiency and RES.

The conclusions developed during P-TECC will form the basis of cooperation between the involved states in the upcoming months.
