Poland, by attracting more and more investments from innovative sectors, as well as their suppliers and sub-suppliers, is becoming a hub for projects from the high technology industry - said the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Grzegorz Piechowiak during his visit to the Expo in Dubai.

During the first four weeks since the inauguration, the Polish Pavilion has been visited by a total of 170,000 people. It has already hosted 310 meetings with several hundred entrepreneurs from all over the world, representing industries such as cosmetics, medicine, space, food, as well as the energy sector, including green energy.

We bet on modern technologies, because it is they that allow us to meet the new challenges facing the modern world. In this context, I am pleased with the growing awareness of the meaning and understanding of the term 'smart city'. It refers not only to buildings, but above all to a holistic approach to city management and technologies and their relations with individuals and entire societies," said the Deputy Prime Minister during the seminar "Smart cities. Solutions for the future", which took place in the Polish Pavilion.

At the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, the Deputy Prime Minister also visited the pavilion of the host United Arab Emirates, the pavilion of the Emirates airline, and the pavilions of Saudi Arabia, Italy, the Vatican and South Korea. At the pavilion of Japan, which will host Expo 2025, he met with the Commissioner General of the Japanese section at Expo Tomiyasu Nakamura. In turn, the visit to the pavilion of Saudi Arabia was an opportunity to meet with Turki bin Abdullah Aldakhil, the country's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.

Deputy Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak also met in Dubai with representatives of the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), which is located in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah. It is one of the leading places for business start-ups in the UAE. It connects investors to the growing markets of the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and South and Central Asia.
