Jacek Tomczak, at the request of the Minister of Economic Development and Technology Krzysztof Hetman, was appointed on 18 December 2023 by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as Secretary of State.

Graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Faculty of Law). Legal adviser, notary, politician. Since 2005, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. Between 1998 and 2005, he was a member of the Poznań City Council. Chairman of the Education and Vocational Education Committee of the National Chamber of Commerce.

Co-author of pro-family changes in the Mieszkanie dla Młodych programme. Repeatedly awarded by the Wielkopolska Chamber of Crafts for his activities for the benefit of crafts and vocational education. Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Crafts and Entrepreneurship.

In the elections to the Polish Sejm in October 2023. Jacek Tomczak was elected as an MP of the 10th term.
