22.10.2020Commentary to the data published by the CSO - residential housing construction in September 2020In accordance with the data published by the Central Statistical Office, 20.7 thousand flats were completed in September of the current year – that is an increase by 21.9% in relation to September 2019. The construction of 26.2 thousand flats was started in the same month – an increase of 21.6% in comparison to September of the previous year. 156.6 thousand flats were completed between January and September of the year, i.e. a number larger by 7.4% in comparison to the same period of 2019.

15.10.2020Commentary to data published by the Central Statistical Office - significant increase in construction and assembly production in 2019According to the Central Statistical Office (CSO), the construction and assembly production in 2019 recorded a significant increase of 5.1% (in constant prices) in relation to the previous year. In relation to 2015, production in 2019 increased by 29.5%, while in comparison to 2010 it increased by 38.5%. The value of construction and assembly production in Poland in 2019 amounted to PLN 243.1 billion (current prices). Construction companies accounted for 94.7% of the total value.

From now on, entrepreneurs from the tourism, stage and exhibition industry can benefit from elements of government aid provided for in the so-called tourist shield - exemptions from social security contributions and idle time benefits. Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin presented the concepts of further forms of support, including the exemption of the additional idle time benefits from income tax in 2020 and 2021.
