On 23 October of the current year, the government took leadership of the Social Dialogue Council. Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology was appointed chairman. Vice-Minister Olga Semeniuk will also represent the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology in the Social Dialogue Council.

In accordance with the data published by the Central Statistical Office, 20.7 thousand flats were completed in September of the current year – that is an increase by 21.9% in relation to September 2019. The construction of 26.2 thousand flats was started in the same month – an increase of 21.6% in comparison to September of the previous year. 156.6 thousand flats were completed between January and September of the year, i.e. a number larger by 7.4% in comparison to the same period of 2019.

Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Centre for Technology Development will be the operator of the Virtual Research Institute. Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin participated in today’s execution of the contract with the Centre. PLN 450 billion was allocated for the studies.

According to the Central Statistical Office (CSO), the construction and assembly production in 2019 recorded a significant increase of 5.1% (in constant prices) in relation to the previous year. In relation to 2015, production in 2019 increased by 29.5%, while in comparison to 2010 it increased by 38.5%. The value of construction and assembly production in Poland in 2019 amounted to PLN 243.1 billion (current prices). Construction companies accounted for 94.7% of the total value.

After 8 months of the current year we have over 6-billion-euro surplus in foreign trade - according to preliminary data of the Central Statistical Office as of 15 October 2020.

Tourism is one of the most experienced branches of the Polish economy, but we provide it with plenty of support and the tourism industry can count on our further timely assistance - declared the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin during today's meeting with representatives of tourist organizations. From now on, entrepreneurs from the tourism, stage and exhibition industry can benefit from elements of government aid provided for in the so-called tourist shield - exemptions from social security contributions and idle time benefits. Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin presented the concepts of further forms of support, including the exemption of the additional idle time benefits from income tax in 2020 and 2021.
