Strengthening cooperation between the space sector entities from Poland and the USA in order to increase the military security of our country is the main subject of talks between the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak and the representatives of the United States administration for international security.

I call for involving the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in the support for Ukraine. We need immediate humanitarian programmes for countries receiving the refugees. Our goal is to maintain and regularly increase the presence of American forces in our region and in the territory of Poland – said Minister Piotr Nowak during the meetings in Washington with the representatives of the American administration, international financial institutions and companies.

Today, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak, started his three-day visit to the United States. The objective of the talks with the representatives of the American administration, international financial institutions and companies will be to strengthen Polish-American economic cooperation, further American investments in Poland, with particular consideration given to innovative industries, including space technology. One of the more important subjects of the planned meetings will be humanitarian aid and support for Ukraine in the crisis caused by the Russian attack.

Citizens of Ukraine who legally stay in Poland will be able to pursue business activity in the territory of our country on the same terms as Polish citizens. The legislation in this matter has been prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

Attracting investments is a priority of the Polish economy. We expect a further inflow of American investments to Poland, in particular to innovative industries, and the development of cooperation in the fields of energy, low-carbon technology, information and space technologies and cybersecurity – said the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak during the meeting with the representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.

Strengthening Polish-British economic cooperation, mutual investments, green technologies and innovative projects are the main subjects of the Polish-British Business Forum in Warsaw. The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Ministry Economic Development and Technology, Grzegorz Piechowiak.

The investment of Google for nearly PLN 2.7 billion is the largest single office transaction in the history of the Polish market. In the office building located in Warsaw at the Daszyńskiego roundabout, 2,500 jobs are to be created, mainly for IT specialists. This shows that Poland is not only an attractive market for foreign investors, but also becomes one of the more important European centres of technology development. On the occasion of the announcement of the investment, Minister Piotr Nowak met at the Google headquarters with the American Ambassador, Mark Brzezinski. The subject of the talks was American investments in Poland, the position of the Polish economy and aid to Ukraine at war.

On the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the management boards of all Special Economic Zones in Poland donated over PLN 2 million for Ukraine, which is fighting for freedom and sovereignty of its own country against the Russian occupant.

Poland and Romania will cooperate in the field of defence industries - stipulates the agreement on cooperation in the field of defence industries of both countries, signed by Minister of Economic Development and Technology Piotr Nowak and Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy of Romania Daniela Nicolescu.

Under-Secretary of State Mariusz Jerzy Golecki signed a declaration of cooperation concerning the HEALTH IPCEI project during a conference held under the French Presidency of the EU Council. Thanks to this, Poland will continue to actively participate in work aimed at implementing projects of common European interest (IPCEI) in the area of health.
